They walked away with a 48-41 win over Winslow on Thursday. That's another feather in the cap for Holbrook, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Holbrook got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Noheah Aberle out in front who scored 16 points along with nine rebounds and two steals. Aberle has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last six times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Maya Francisco, who scored ten points along with two steals.
Holbrook's win bumped their record up to 7-14. As for Winslow, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-13.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Holbrook will take on Snowflake at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Snowflake presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Holbrook in Arizona (Snowflake is ranked 22nd, while Holbrook is ranked 118th). As for Winslow, they will head out on the road to challenge Pusch Ridge Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. Pusch Ridge Christian Academy will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive.
