Baseball Recap: Fife Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Fife had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Steilacoom Sentinels by a score of 7-2. This was payback for the Trojans, who suffered a 12-2 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Fife's victory was truly a team effort as seven different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Carter Christiansen, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2. Another was Mattson Ducharme, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Fife now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Steilacoom, they moved to 5-2 with that loss, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

Fife will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Sentinels: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
