Two dominant backs in Wayshawn Parker and Owen Long are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Grant Pacers will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against the La Serna Lancers at 4:00 p.m. on December 8th. One thing working in Grant's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last ten games.
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Grant had no problem doing just that on Friday. They took their contest on the road with ease, bagging a 41-14 victory over the Thunder. Considering Grant has won 11 matchups by more than 25 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Grant got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Parker out in front who rushed for 175 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.0 yards per carry. Devin Green also helped out as he racked up 102 rushing yards.
Meanwhile, La Serna came tearing into Friday's matchup with ten straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 36.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They enjoyed a cozy 49-32 win over Orange Vista. This was one game where the offenses had no trouble playing at a high level.
CJ Ceron went supernova for La Serna, rushing for 192 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries, while also throwing for 191 yards and two touchdowns. Jayden Northrup also helped out with an impressive 98 receiving yards.
Their wins bumped Grant to 12-2 and Rocklin to 12-2.
Keep an eye on the end zone in Friday's game as Grant and La Serna haven't had much trouble getting there this season. Grant commands a daunting offense this season, having averaged 6.6 touchdowns per game. However, it's not like La Serna struggles in that department as they've been averaging 6.1 per game. With these two high-octane teams facing off on Friday, fans should be in for an exciting offensive matchup. Come back here after the game to get analysis of the match and other football content.
