It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Parrish Community Bulls had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They walked away with a 58-47 win over the Pirates.
Parrish Community found their leader in underclassman Malakai Cuffy, who scored 20 points along with five steals. Cuffy is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last nine games he's played. Another player making a difference was Miles Fetterman, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds.
Despite the loss, Boca Ciega still got an impressive performance from Jordan Naylor, who scored 25 points. Kaleb Oriol was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Parrish Community's win bumped their record up to 16-8. As for Boca Ciega, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 13-12 record this season.
Parrish Community will face off against Braden River at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Parrish Community will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 274th, while Braden River is ranked 132nd). Boca Ciega does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
