Cassandra Alvarez spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on ten hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Gianna Giannini was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs, two stolen bases, and one RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Maddy Merrill, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Casa Roble kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in five consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Liberty Ranch never let their opponents score on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by an 18-0 margin over Woodland. That 18-run margin sets a new team best for the Hawks this season.
Laura Quinn looked comfortable as she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Bella Granata, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run and six RBI. Another player making a difference was Mariella Granata, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs.
Casa Roble's record now sits at 14-10. As for Liberty Ranch, their record is now 15-8.
Friday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Casa Roble hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .335. However, it's not like Liberty Ranch struggles in that department as they've averaged .357. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Casa Roble might still be hurting after the 11-5 loss they got from Liberty Ranch in their previous matchup back in March. Can the Rams avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
