The Centaurus Warriors's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They were outmatched by Windsor on the road and fell 65-31. Centaurus has not had much luck with Windsor recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Centaurus lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Antuan Vargas, who scored 12 points.
Centaurus struggled to work together and finished the game with only an assist. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Tadese Keyworth was the offensive standout of the matchup as he went 7 for 10 from beyond the arc en route to 21 points and 5 assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of John Backhaus, who scored 13 points.
Centaurus has been struggling recently, as they've lost seven of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season. As for Windsor, their win was their 14th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-4.
Centaurus will head out on the road to take on Greeley Central at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Greeley Central focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Friday. As for Windsor, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Mead at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Colorado (Mead is ranked 28th, while Windsor is ranked 33rd).
