The Warrensburg Tigers on the road again on Tuesday and play against the Van Horn Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on January 23rd. Warrensburg will be strutting in after a victory while Van Horn will be coming in after a defeat.
Even though Boonville scored an imposing 56 points last Thursday, Warrensburg still came out on top. Warrensburg strolled past Boonville with points to spare, taking the game 71-56. The victory was just what Warrensburg needed coming off of a 65-38 defeat in their prior matchup.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 64 points the game before, Van Horn were a bit more limited in their matchup on Thursday. They received a tough blow as they fell 42-25 to Summit Christian Academy. While losing is never fun, Van Horn can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 335th, while Summit Christian Academy is ranked 74th).
Warrensburg's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-8. As for Van Horn, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-12.
Warrensburg strolled past Van Horn in their previous matchup back in January of 2023 by a score of 69-51. The rematch might be a little tougher for Warrensburg since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
