The Hagerty Huskies stacked a seventh blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Thursday. They really took it to Winter Springs for the full four quarters, racking up a 71-38 win at home. The win was just what Hagerty needed coming off of a 65-41 defeat in their prior matchup.
Leading Hagerty to victory were Caden Douglass and Alex Dipaolo. Douglass dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds, while Dipaolo dropped a double-double on 15 points and 13 rebounds. Douglass hasn't dropped below two steals for seven straight games. Julian Declou was another key contributor, scoring six points along with ten rebounds and five assists.
Hagerty's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-3. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.2 points per game. As for Winter Springs, their loss ended a seven-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-5.
Hagerty and Oviedo will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 12th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Oviedo is coming into the contest hot, having won their last five games. As for Winter Springs, they will head out on the road to take on Lake Mary at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Lake Mary's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last six matchups.
