Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only The Scappoose Indians walked away with it. They were the clear victor by a 34-13 margin over Ashland. Considering Scappoose has won eight matchups by more than 19 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Scappoose's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Cayden Baker, who rushed for 69 yards and two touchdowns. Another player making a difference was Quinton Olson, who picked up 133 receiving yards and a touchdown.
The victory makes it two in a row for Scappoose and bumps their season record up to 9-1. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 29 points. As for Ashland, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-4.
Scappoose will face off against Cascade at TBD on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Oregon (Cascade is ranked 31st, while Scappoose is ranked 28th). Ashland does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
