Oakman's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Rick Johnson, who scored 22 points. The game was Johnson's ninth in a row with at least ten points. Aidan Carson was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with three steals.
Curry's loss was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-14. As for Oakman, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 8-1.
Curry will head out on the road to face off against Sumiton Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Oakman, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Victory Christian at 5:00 p.m. Hopefully Victory Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Saturday.
