5A District 13 recap Nov. 7, 2012
Rockledge extended the longest winning streak in 5A District 13 this week by beating Space Coast, 28-14. The win marks fourth in a row for the the Raiders.
The Vipers made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 10,390 from 10,975. The improvement came about via a 28-14 victory over Space Coast last week.
Rockledge's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Alex Adler threw for 180 and two touchdowns and Justin Crapps had 107 yards receiving. On the ground Vadray Crouch chipped in 55 yards. Joe Brown helped Rockledge's passing attack out by catching two balls for 40 yards.
Rockledge's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Raiders feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Adler has thrown for 937 yards and eight touchdowns this season, while Brown has 23 catches for 330 yards. Justin Weaver leads the league in rushing with 382 yards.
Astronaut led the league in scoring this week after putting up 50 points on Titusville.
