The Whitefield Academy Lions lost against the Heritage Christian Eagles back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Whitefield Academy took a 44-29 bruising from Heritage Christian.
Despite the defeat, Whitefield Academy had strong showings from Natalie Jones, who scored 12 points, and Caroline Wilson, who scored 11 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Jones has scored all season.
Whitefield Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 2-1. As for Heritage Christian, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
Whitefield Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Northeast Kansas Nighthawks HomeSchool at 6:30 p.m. on January 5, 2024. Heritage Christian will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Cornerstone Family at 6:00 p.m. on January 9, 2024.
