After losing to Hagerman the last time they met, Elida decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Elida Tigers put the hurt on the Hagerman Bobcats with a sharp 45-21 win on Thursday. The Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matches by 21 points or more this season.

Elida pushed their record up to 15-11 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 24.3 points over those games. As for Hagerman, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-15 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought as the Tigers challenge the Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Elida is facing Lake Arthur at the right time seeing as Lake Arthur is stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Hagerman, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Jal at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
