The Hemingway Tigers will head out on the road to  take on  the Cross Trojans  at 7:00  p.m.  on Monday.
Last Wednesday, Hemingway came up short against Green Sea Floyds  and fell  51-40. The  defeat   continues a  trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Trojans: they've now lost four in a row.
 Despite their  loss, Hemingway saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays.  Nasir Brooks, who  posted 11  points and four  steals, was perhaps the best of all. The team also got some help courtesy of  Xavier Washington, who  earned ten points.
Meanwhile, Cross came tearing into  Friday's  matchup with seven straight wins  (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 26.6 points), and they left with even more momentum. They came within four  points of losing the streak, but they secured  a   61-57 W against the Yellow Jackets. Given the Trojans' advantage  in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings  (they are ranked 84th, while the Yellow Jackets are ranked 209th), the result  wasn't entirely unexpected.
 Hemingway better keep an eye on  Caden Ramsey. He was instrumental in Cross' win,  dropping  a double-double with 25  points and 15  boards. That's the most  rebounds  Ramsey has posted since back in February of 2024.  Preston Fuller was another key player,  going 5-for-12  en route to 13 points and eight  boards.
 Cross' victory was  their fourth straight on the road, which  pushed their record up to 13-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 67.5 points over those games. As for Hemingway, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-14.
