If Towle Institute were riding high off their 57-26 takedown of the Cumberland Christian Crusaders back in December of 2023, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Towle Institute was beaten by Providence Christian Academy 73-26 on Friday. Towle Institute was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 52-10.
Bryce Unruh continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Providence Christian Academy, dropping a double-double on 15 points and ten steals. Unruh is absolutely dominating the point category: he's posted at least 15 every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Sam Keller, who scored ten points along with two steals.
Towle Institute's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Providence Christian Academy, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-4.
Towle Institute does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Providence Christian Academy on the road again on Tuesday and play against Fellowship of Christian Athletes at 7:00 p.m. on January 16th.
