With a playoff game on the line, the Ocoee Knights rose to the challenge on Wednesday. They blew past the Patriots 49-14 on the road. Ocoee has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 matchups by 23 points or more this season.
Ocoee's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Reese Bellamy led the charge by scoring six points along with nine rebounds and five steals. Bellamy hasn't dropped below nine rebounds for three straight games. Paris Triplett was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with ten rebounds and three steals.
Ocoee is on a roll lately: they've won 15 of their last 17 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 19-5 record this season. As for Lake Brantley, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-16 record this season.
Ocoee will take on Apopka at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Apopka is coming into the game with four straight victories on the road, meaning Ocoee will have to defend against a team hungry for a victory. Lake Brantley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
