Hawaiian Mission Academy is 8-2 against La Pietra since January of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. On Tuesday, Hawaiian Mission Academy faced Punahou in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Hawaiian Mission Academy enjoyed a cozy 43-29 victory over Punahou. The team accrued 31 points in the first half and coasted on those for the victory.
It was another big night for Shynastee Ahina, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 11 rebounds. The game was her third in a row with at least ten points.
Meanwhile, La Pietra had to hit the road for their first game and sadly it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They were outmatched by Kalaheo on the road and fell 39-7.
Hawaiian Mission Academy now has a winning record of 3-2. As for La Pietra, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Hawaiian Mission Academy strolled past La Pietra in their previous matchup back in January by a score of 46-30. Does Hawaiian Mission Academy have another victory up their sleeve, or will La Pietra turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
