Edison has gone a perfect 7-0 against Willard recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Chargers will host the Crimson Flashes at 4:45 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Willard will be up against a hot Edison team: the squad just extended their winning streak to five. The Chargers blew past Vermilion 23-1 on Wednesday. The result was nothing new for the Chargers, who have now won nine matches by seven runs or more so far this season.

Abby Cloud was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and one run.
In other batting news, Edison got a massive performance out of Natalie Desautels, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Peyton Taylor, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with five RBI, one run, and one double.
Edison kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 20 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Vermilion only managed three hits.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Willard). They came out on top against Lucas by a score of 14-11 on Friday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Crimson Flashes as it put an end to their eight-game losing streak.
Like Edison, Willard also got a great game from a two-way player: Ava Deel. She tossed six innings while giving up just two earned (and nine unearned) runs off seven hits. Deel was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Those two RBI gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kenley Bond, who got on base in three of her five plate appearances with three runs and one RBI. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Steinmetz, who went 1-for-4 with one triple and one run.
Edison pushed their record up to 14-5 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Willard, their victory bumped their record up to 3-16.
Willard's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Edison has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 12 hits per game. It's a different story for Willard, though, as they've been averaging 9.1 hits. Given Edison's sizable advantage in that area, the Crimson Flashes will need to find a way to close that gap.
Edison took their win against Willard in their previous matchup last Wednesday by a conclusive 22-2 score. Will the Chargers repeat their success, or do the Crimson Flashes have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
