Basketball Recap: Leuzinger Beats Bishop Alemany for Their Third Straight Win

Leuzinger had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They were the clear victor by a 73-47 margin over the Bishop Alemany Warriors. For the Olympians, this counts as revenge for the 68-58 victory the Warriors walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2018.

Leuzinger's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Malachi Knight, who posted 16 points. Knight is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Joshua Garland, who earned 16 points.

Leuzinger's victory bumped their record up to 13-5. As for Bishop Alemany, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-3.

Leuzinger wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 71-47 win against Grant on the 3rd. Bishop Alemany has also already played their next game, an 82-58 victory against Venice on the 3rd.
