Softball Recap: Patterson Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Patterson made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Ceres, but still couldn't quite topple them. The Patterson Tigers blew past the Ceres Bulldogs 12-5 on Thursday. Winning may never get old, but the Tigers sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Grace Cruthis and Janelle Alvarez did most of the damage at the plate: Cruthis scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-2, while Alvarez went 1-for-3 with one home run and four RBI. That's the most RBI Alvarez has posted since back in March of 2024. Elizabeth Zavala was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.

Patterson always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .531. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive matches.

Patterson's record now sits at 4-2-2. As for Ceres, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-3.

Patterson has already played their next contest (against Lodi), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Ceres also has no score uploaded for their next game, this one against East Union.
