The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (North Judson-San Pierre has four straight victories, Winamac has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
It was a Battle of the Birds when North Judson-San Pierre duked it out with Elkhart Christian Academy on Saturday. The Bluejays put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 14-4 win. The Bluejays might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matchups by ten runs or more this season.
Aiden Christensen made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off five hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances. The scorekeeper got an easy start on Friday as neither Winamac nor North Miami made it on the board until the sixth inning. Winamac fell just short of North Miami by a score of 2-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss Winamac has suffered since May 14, 2024.

Monday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. North Judson-San Pierre has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .473. However, it's not like Winamac struggles in that department as they've averaged .448. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
North Judson-San Pierre came out on top in a nail-biter against Winamac when the teams last played back in May of 2024, sneaking past 6-5. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bluejays since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
