The Arnold Marlins won the last time they faced the Port St. Joe Tiger Sharks, and things went their way on Thursday too. Arnold walked away with a 41-28 win over Port St. Joe. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Arnold.
Among those leading the charge was Jaylee Tolbert-Stewart, who scored 19 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaylee Vial, who scored ten points.
Despite the loss, Port St. Joe still got an impressive performance from Alonah Segree, who scored 16 points along with seven rebounds.
Arnold's win bumped their record up to 8-11. As for Port St. Joe, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season.
Arnold will head out on the road to face off against Munroe at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Munroe has now lost eight straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 29. As for Port St. Joe, Port St. Joe and Liberty County will face off at 5:00 p.m. on January 22nd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Liberty County is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road.
