The Aquilla Cougars's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They lost to Valor Preparatory Academy on the road by a decisive 65-46 margin.
Valor Preparatory Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Bear Griesemer, who scored 14 points along with 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Griesemer is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now stole two or more in the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Thomas Guess, who scored 16 points along with 9 rebounds and 3 steals.
Aquilla now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Valor Preparatory Academy, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-2.
Aquilla will head out on the road to face off against Bynum at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Valor Preparatory Academy's road trip will continue as they head out to face Penelope at 7:00 p.m. on December 2nd. Penelope presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Valor Preparatory Academy in Texas (Penelope is ranked 362nd, while Valor Preparatory Academy is ranked 1094th).
