Basketball Recap: Metrolina Christian Academy Piles Up the Points Against Faith Academy Charter

While Metrolina Christian Academy didn't have the best season last year (they finished 8-19), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They blew past the Faith Academy Charter Patriots 72-36 on Saturday. The matchup marked the Warriors' most dominant victory of the season so far.

Faith Academy Charter's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jack Morris, who posted nine points. Another player making a difference was Nick Franks, who earned five points and six assists.

The win (which was Metrolina Christian Academy's third in a row) raised their record to 5-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.7 points over those games. As for Faith Academy Charter, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Metrolina Christian Academy will head out to face off against Charlotte Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Warriors will need to watch out since the Knights have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Faith Academy Charter, they will venture away from home to square off against Arborbrook Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Patriots' defense better be ready for this one: the Falcons have averaged an impressive 64.2 points per game this season.
