It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Franklin Academy Panthers can now relate to. They were outmatched by the Chiefs on the road and fell 72-35. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Franklin Academy has scored all season.
Despite the loss, Franklin Academy saw an underclassman step up: Robert Guishard dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds. Guishard is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted three or more in the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacob Alicot, who scored 11 points.
Franklin Academy has not been sharp recently as the team's lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season. As for Cardinal Gibbons, their victory bumped their record up to 19-6.
