After losing to the North Florida Christian Eagles the last time they met, the Chiles Timberwolves decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Chiles took down North Florida Christian 63-47 on Thursday.
Leading Chiles to victory were Isaiah Bundrage and Dylon Burgess. Bundrage scored 18 points along with eight rebounds, while Burgess scored 20 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Burgess has scored all season. Landon Morgan was another key contributor, scoring three points along with two steals and two blocks.
When it comes to explaining why North Florida Christian lost, one person who can't be blamed is Parker Freeland. Despite the final result, he scored 18 points. Freeland is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Korey Rosier, who scored six points along with five assists and three steals.
Chiles now has a winning record of 8-7. As for North Florida Christian, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-7.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Maclay the next time they take the court. North Florida Christian will head out to face Maclay at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while Chiles will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
