The Shaker Bison were the 47-44 winner over the Columbia Blue Devils when they last played one another back in January of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The contest between Shaker and Columbia wasn't particularly close, with Shaker falling 57-42.
Shaker lost on Tuesday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Peyton Hoblock, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Giada Lanni, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds.
Shaker's defeat dropped their record down to 12-7. As for Columbia, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 12-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Shaker will take on Schenectady at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Shaker is facing Schenectady at the right time seeing as Schenectady is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Columbia, they will head out on the road to take on Ballston Spa at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
