The Lutheran North Mustangs scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They managed a 65-61 victory over Divine Child. The win made it back-to-back wins for Lutheran North.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lutheran North to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tommy Valenti, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 12 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Valenti has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ben Scheuher, who scored 18 points along with seven rebounds.
The win got Lutheran North back to even at 6-6. As for Divine Child, they are on a eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-9.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lutheran North will take on Richard at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Divine Child won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Churchill at 7:00 p.m. on January 26th. Churchill is on an eight-game streak of home losses, Divine Child a five-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change.
