If Lockhart wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Southwest, they should've done a better job of containing Nehemiah Parsons. The Dragons came out on top in a nail-biter against the Lions on Friday, sneaking past 21-19 for which the team can thank Parsons, who rushed for 62 yards and one score. He was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 50 yards.

Lockhart's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Noel Jaimes Ll, who threw for 220 yards and one TD while completing 81% of his passes, and Demonte Anthony, who picked up 128 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Southwest has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 1.5 points across that stretch. As for Lockhart, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Southwest didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 41-27 win against Nixon on the 12th. As for Lockhart, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 32-12 defeat against Lehman on the 12th.
