The Beaver Bobcats waltzed into their matchup  on Friday with four straight wins  but they left with five. They came out on top against North Catholic by a score of  69-61. The  victory was all the more spectacular given Beaver's disadvantage  in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings  (they are ranked 215th, while North Catholic is ranked 83rd).
 Beaver got their  victory on the backs of several key players, but it was  Ty Butler out in front who  dropped  a double-double on 19 points and 12  rebounds.  Brady Mayo was another key contributor,  scoring 25 points along with six  rebounds and two  steals.
 Beaver pushed their record up to 12-9 with that  victory, which was their third straight  at home. Those good results were due in large part to their  offensive performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 74.3 points per game. As for North Catholic, their loss dropped their record down to 13-6.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Beaver will  square off against Trinity at 7:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. One thing working in Beaver's favor is that they have posted big  point totals  in their last five contests. North Catholic will be staying on the road  on Monday to face off against Central Catholic at 7:30  p.m.  on February 12th. North Catholic has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 1,431 points over their last 19 matchups.
