Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Sunlake). Everything went their way against the Cypress Creek Coyotes on Friday as the Sunlake Seahawks made off with a 6-1 win. Given the Seahawks' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 23rd, while the Coyotes are ranked 230th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Sunlake's offense was hitting Cypress Creek from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Omar Ahmed led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

Sunlake's victory bumped their record up to 6-1-2. As for Cypress Creek, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-7.

Sunlake wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next match, an 8-0 win against Zephyrhills on the 13th. Cypress Creek has also already played their next contest, a 1-0 victory against Land O' Lakes on the 13th.
