Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Southside). They really took it to the Acadiana Rams for the full four quarters, racking up a 72-30 win. The match was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Sharks had established a 25 point advantage.

Essence Green and Fondong Destini certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Green dropped a double-double on ten points and 17 boards, while Destini posted 11 points and eight rebounds. Green has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last four times she's played.

Southside pushed their record up to 8-9 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.5 points per game. As for Acadiana, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record this season.

Southside wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 45-39 loss against Rayne on the 14th. Acadiana has also already played their next matchup (against North Vermilion), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
