After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Massaponax, the North Stafford Wolverines were happy to have found some success on Monday. They enjoyed a cozy 31-16 victory over Mountain View. For North Stafford, this counts as revenge for the 39-38 defeat Mountain View walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January.
Destinee Salgado was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 15 points and 13 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of North Stafford's points. Another player making a difference was J'Maia Joseph, who scored eight points along with five rebounds and two steals.
North Stafford's victory bumped their record up to 13-9. As for Mountain View, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 10-10.
North Stafford will take on Colonial Forge at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully North Stafford focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Monday. As for Mountain View, they will head out on the road to challenge Stafford at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Mountain View is facing Stafford at the right time seeing as Stafford is stuck on a ten-game losing streak.
