Franklinton can now show off ten landslide victories after their most recent match on Friday. They claimed a resounding 59-10 victory over Bunn at home. 59 seems to be a good number for Franklinton as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.
Franklinton's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mikayla Taborn, who scored 13 points along with two steals. It was the first time this season that Taborn grabbed two or more steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Rihanna Hunt, who scored six points along with four steals.
Northern Nash has not had quite the year their fans were hoping for to this point, but back-to-back wins may be a sign of good things to come. They came out on top against Roanoke Rapids by a score of 50-40 on Friday.
Franklinton pushed their record up to 18-1 with that win, which was their tenth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.1 points per game. As for Northern Nash, their victory bumped their record up to 5-9.
Everything came up roses for Franklinton against Northern Nash in their previous meeting back in January as the squad secured a 52-18 victory. With Franklinton ahead 35-8 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
