The Pisgah Bears suffered their closest defeat yet this season on Wednesday. They fell just short of East Henderson by a score of 60-57. Pisgah has not had much luck with East Henderson recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Pisgah's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Kenyon Moore, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and ten rebounds, and Dominick Messer who scored 18 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Moore has scored all season.
Caiden Brewer was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 22 points and ten rebounds for East Henderson. Brewer is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last 12 games he's played. Brady Nix was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with six rebounds.
Pisgah's defeat was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 10-6. As for East Henderson, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 13-4.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Smoky Mountain the next time they take the court. East Henderson will host Smoky Mountain at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, while Pisgah will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
