Sadie Borrelli and Carissa Wenner made a splash while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Borrelli struck out ten batters over four innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits (and only one walk). Meanwhile, Wenner tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Furthermore, she didn't allow a single earned run, the first time she has blanked an opponent since back in April of 2024. At bat, Borrelli went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double, while Wenner went 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave Wenner a new career-high.
In other batting news, Jordan Frye was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs, four RBI, and one triple. Sydney Matincheck was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.
Lower Dauphin hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Northeastern struck out 12 times.
The victory got Lower Dauphin back to even at 2-2. As for Northeastern, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.
