While South Ridge put up some runs on Wednesday, the same can't be said for Mesabi East. The Panthers blew past the Giants 8-0. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won six matchups by eight runs or more so far this season.

The win made it two in a row for South Ridge and bumps their season record up to 8-3. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 3 runs in those games. As for Mesabi East, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5.

Coming up, South Ridge will challenge Cherry at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Panthers 4.1, the Tigers 3.5) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Mesabi East, they will head out to face off against Pequot Lakes at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
