Softball Recap: Ballinger Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Ballinger entered their tilt with Winters on Friday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They put the hurt on the Blizzards with a sharp 15-7 win. The Bearcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by six runs or more this season.

Ballinger pushed their record up to 6-4 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.0 runs over those games. As for Winters, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season.

Ballinger and Winters could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. Ballinger will challenge Cisco at 5:00 p.m. on Friday down 330 places (615 vs. 285). Meanwhile, Winters (ranked 944th) will meet Bangs (ranked 390th) at 6:00 p.m. on April 1.
