The Canterbury Crusaders will venture away from home to face off against the Shorecrest Prep Chargers at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Canterbury will come into the matchup with an undefeated record on the line.
Canterbury had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the six-run drubbing they dealt Tampa Prep last Thursday. The Crusaders blew past the Terrapins 8-2. The result was nothing new for the Crusaders, who have now won six games by six runs or more so far this season.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Andre Monzon, who went 1-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season. Cash Mchugh was another key player, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.
Canterbury kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Shorecrest Prep came up short against Indian Rocks Christian on Friday and fell 12-7. The Chargers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Like Canterbury, Shorecrest Prep also got a great game from a two-way player: Luke Lavoie. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off two hits. Lavoie was even better at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs.
Lavoie wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Jordan Black, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.
Canterbury's record now sits at 11-0. As for Shorecrest Prep, their loss dropped their record down to 3-5.
Shorecrest Prep's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Canterbury hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .336. It's a different story for Shorecrest Prep, though, as they've only averaged .209. Will they be able to contain Canterbury's hitters?
