The regular season was a success, but the real challenge begins now, in the postseason. Hanover will challenge Canton on the road at 7:30 PM on Friday. The odds don't look promising for Hanover, but the bigger the opponent is, the harder they fall.
Last Friday, Hanover had a bit more than a touchdown to spare in a 28-17 victory over North Quincy.
Meanwhile, if Canton were riding high off their 39-0 takedown of Sharon two weeks ago, that ride came to an abrupt end. Canton didn't finish too far behind, but the team still lost 10-14 to North Attleborough. Canton's low-scoring defeat was the unsatisfying follow-up to their high-scoring outing the matchup before.
Hanover's win lifted them to 5-2-1 while Canton's loss dropped them down to 7-1. We'll find out if Hanover can add another positive mark to their record or if Canton can shake off the loss and take the spring out of Hanover's step.
