Ethan Thomas ran for two touchdowns and
Terrence Turner added two as well as
Elizabethton (Tenn.) beat Sullivan East (Bluff City, Tenn.) 56-7 on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a touchdown run by Turner in the first quarter, the Fighting Cyclones led 49-7 at the half.
Elizabethton expanded its lead to 49 points entering the fourth quarter. EHS scored once in the quarter on a touchdown run by
Kaleb Walters.
The Fighting Cyclones put up 35 points in the first quarter en route to the win. Elizabethton scored on a touchdown run by Turner, a Thomas touchdown run, a defensive touchdown, a
Caleb Bailey touchdown pass to
Markus Olds and a touchdown run by Thomas in the quarter.
The Patriots' lone touchdown came on a defensive touchdown in the first quarter.
EHS went into the matchup giving up only 10.2 points per game.
The Fighting Cyclones also won the meeting between the two teams last season, 48-6.
