Hopefully San Diego Jewish Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up six on Wednesday.
Last Wednesday, San Diego Jewish Academy was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 58-53 to Del Lago Academy. San Diego Jewish Academy has struggled against Del Lago Academy recently, as their match on Wednesday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the defeat, San Diego Jewish Academy had strong showings from Ethan Abeles, who scored 19 points along with six rebounds and five assists, and Jack Silberstein, who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds and three blocks. Abeles has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last three times he's played. Micah Goold was another key contributor, scoring two points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Army-Navy's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell 34-27 to Rock Academy. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Army-Navy has scored all season.
San Diego Jewish Academy now has a losing record at 7-8. As for Army-Navy, their loss dropped their record down to 6-6.
