The biggest upset of the week belonged to Nokomis, who took down 57th ranked Madison/Carrabec, 27-12. Noah Kershner threw for three yards, ran for 177 yards and caught one passes for four yards in the win.
Mt. Blue extended the longest winning streak in B Pine Tree this week by beating Waterville, 53-23. The victory was the ninth in a row for the team.
Jodran Whitney threw for 167 yards and four touchdowns. He was nine-17 with two interceptions.
Jake Winslow was the best wideout in the league this week as the Warriors bested the Bulldogs. Winslow tallied three receptions for 83 yards. Zach McFarland helped Nokomis' passing attack out by catching one ball for 15 yards.
Mt. Blue's Whitney and Cam Abbott have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Whitney has thrown for 1328 yards this season, while Abbott, a 6-foot-3 receiver, has 27 catches for 438 yards. Nokomis' Kershner leads the league in rushing yards with 1069.
A big matchup in B Pine Tree this week will be when Leavitt takes on Belfast. As it stands, the Hornets are in second, while the Lions are in sixth.
