The Fort Collins Lambkins will head out on the road to face off against the Boulder Panthers at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Fort Collins will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
Even though Fairview scored an imposing 60 points on Saturday, Fort Collins still came out on top. Fort Collins had just enough and edged Fairview out 63-60.
Marcus Burkett was his usual excellent self, scoring 23 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Jackson Folkestad, who scored 16 points.
Meanwhile, Boulder came into Friday's matchup having lost six straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They strolled past Prairie View with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 68-50.
Fort Collins has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matches, which provided a massive bump to their 14-6 record this season. As for Boulder, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-13.
Fort Collins beat Boulder 74-65 when the teams last played back in January of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Fort Collins since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
