Piqua has been on the road for two straight, but on Monday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Meadowdale Lions at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Neither of these teams found much success offensively their last time out, scoring well below their season average.
Last Wednesday, Piqua came up short against the Yellowjackets and fell 32-20. While losing is never fun, Piqua can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 667th, while the Yellowjackets are ranked 169th).
Meanwhile, Meadowdale waltzed into their match on Monday with six straight wins but they left with seven. They didn't even let Belmont onto the board and left with a 2-0 win.
Piqua has been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 12 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-16 record this season. As for Meadowdale, they pushed their record up to 18-2 with that victory, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season.
