The Liberty Patriots will challenge the Arbor View Aggies at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Liberty is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.2 runs per game this season.
Liberty is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another highly-ranked state team: Blackfoot, who was ranked fifth in their home state at the time (Liberty was ranked 18th). The Patriots never let the Broncos get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory last Saturday. The result was nothing new for the Patriots, who have now won three matchups by eight runs or more so far this season.

Danielle Diaz was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. Those two RBI gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Charli Taylor was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That home run was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Danielle Luvanos, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double.
Liberty always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .519. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Blackfoot only posted an OBP of .294.
Meanwhile, Arbor View fell victim to Poly and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They came up short against the Bears, falling 6-0. The Aggies' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
Arbor View saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Peyton Williams, who went 2-for-3 with one triple.
Liberty now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Arbor View, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-6.
Both the two teams just can't seem to miss. Liberty has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 8.8 hits per game. However, it's not like Arbor View struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 5.4 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Liberty might still be hurting after the 16-3 loss they got from Arbor View when the teams last played back in March of 2025. Will the Patriots have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more softball content.
