Softball Recap: Palm Desert Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Palm Desert barely beat Redlands the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Aztecs put the hurt on the Terriers with a sharp 14-3 win on Tuesday. Winning may never get old, but the Aztecs sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Aaliyah Tapia made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit over four innings pitched. Tapia was also big at the plate, going 4-for-5 with three RBI and two doubles.

In other batting news, Logan Fimbres was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. Grace Thompson was another key player, going 3-for-5 with one home run and two RBI.

Palm Desert always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .561. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Redlands only posted an OBP of .286.

Palm Desert's record now sits at 6-1. As for Redlands, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.

Looking ahead, Palm Desert will head out to challenge Palm Springs at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Redlands, they will host San Gorgonio at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday.
