Charleston Math & Science's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Dalailyn Reed led the charge by scoring 22 points along with five rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Reed has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Peyton Webb, who scored 15 points along with five assists and three steals.
Charleston Math & Science's win ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-12. As for Lowcountry Leadership, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-10.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Charleston Math & Science will take on Cross at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Cross presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Charleston Math & Science in South Carolina (Cross is ranked 78th, while Charleston Math & Science is ranked 233rd). As for Lowcountry Leadership, they will be playing at home against Baptist Hill at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Baptist Hill is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
