Lakeside took their game at home on Friday with ease, bagging a 69-34 win over the Zebras. Given Lakeside's advantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 64th, while the Zebras are ranked 219th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Lakeside found their leader in underclassman Mckenzie Williams, who scored 26 points along with five assists and four steals. Williams has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Amelia Rogers, who scored 23 points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Lakeside's victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-8. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.3 points per game. As for Pine Bluff, they are on a 14-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-14.
Lakeside will be playing at home against the Wolves at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lake Hamilton will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. Pine Bluff is on the road again on Tuesday and plays the Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. on February 6th. White Hall is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.
