Mesquite has won 14 straight games at home (dating back to last season), while Pinnacle has won 14 straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Thursday. The Mesquite Wildcats will host the Pinnacle Pioneers at 7:00 p.m. One thing working in Mesquite's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 14 matches.
Mesquite is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They strolled past Canyon View with points to spare, taking the game 64-48.

Mesquite's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lucy Fisher, who dropped a double-double with 14 points and 15 rebounds. Fisher has been hot recently, having posted ten or more boards the last three times she's played. Navae Guidry was another key player, going 7-for-15 on her way to 19 points and five rebounds.
Mesquite smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in 29 consecutive contests dating back to last season.
Meanwhile, Pinnacle got the win against Catalina Foothills on Thursday by a conclusive 53-32. The Pioneers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 17 games by 21 points or more this season.
Mesquite better focus on containing Norah Moo and Rylee Fraley as the pair were huge in Pinnacle's win. Moo dropped a double-double with 17 points and 11 boards, while Fraley almost dropped a double-double with nine points and 11 assists. Those 11 assists gave Fraley a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Claire Carnal, who posted 11 points.
Pinnacle has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-5 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 30.7 points. Mesquite's victory bumped their record up to 27-1.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Mesquite has been crashing the boards this season, having averaged 34.6 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Pinnacle struggles in that department as they've been averaging 36.7 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Mesquite came up short against Pinnacle in their previous matchup back in December of 2022, falling 59-50. Thankfully for Mesquite, Mia Singstock (who shot 6-for-7 from long range and almost dropped a double-double with 26 points and nine rebounds) won't be suiting up this time.
